1977 PONTIAC TRANS AM

1977 PONTIAC TRANS AM Y82 "BANDIT" – 474CI BUTLER STROKER – 580HP – BURT REYNOLDS ICON

"For the money, for the glory… and for the fun. But mostly for the money."

This is not a tribute.
This is not a cruiser.
This is not for the faint of heart.

This is a 1977 Pontiac Trans Am Y82 Special Edition – Bandit Edition by Year One – powered by a brutally built 474 cubic inch Butler Performance stroker and Burt Reynolds autograph!

This is Smokey and the Bandit… reimagined as a race car.

From the moment you see it, the presence is unmistakable. The stance is aggressive. The attitude is outlaw. The aura is legendary. This is the car that made an entire generation fall in love with American muscle — and this example takes it into a completely different dimension.

Under the hood lives a Butler Performance–built 474 cubic inch stroker (425 stroker from a 400 block), engineered to an extreme standard and producing approximately 580 horsepower.

This is not a street build.
This is a race-engineered motor built to survive abuse.

The engine features:
1970 Pontiac 400 block stroked to 474 cubic inches
All forged rotating assembly
Four-bolt forged main caps
Professionally built Butler Performance motor
Hard block to just below the frost plugs
Fully deburred block
Full oiling system with oil cooler, Accu-Sump & remote filler

Up top, it runs ported and port-matched Edelbrock aluminum heads, a single-plane intake, and a Comp Cams hydraulic roller – "Old Faithful" grind, legendary in the Pontiac world for its brutal powerband and unmistakable sound.

This motor is violent.
It idles with menace.
It pulls like a freight train.
And when you lift, it crackles like the Fourth of July through those pipes.

Power is delivered through a NASCAR TEX RACING 4-speed manual transmission, giving you that raw, mechanical connection that only real race hardware provides.

This Trans Am is fitted with Year One Pro-Touring components, all custom race suspension, and custom race brakes, making it tight, planted, and brutally responsive.

And yes — it is so brutally powerful that under hard acceleration it will lift the front tires off the ground.
This is not hype. This is physics.

It is built to be driven.
It is built to be pushed.
It is built to be feared.

The car rides on Year One 17x9 wheels wrapped in Nitto NT05 rubber, giving it serious grip to match the power.

Inside, it is all business:
Full roll cage
Race seats
Race harnesses
Fire suppression system

This is a properly caged, track-capable outlaw machine — not a show pony.

And then there's the signature…

Burt Reynolds autographed dash - tying this car directly to the man, the movie, and the legend.

"What we're dealing with here is a complete lack of respect for the law."

Yes… that about sums it up.

This is:
• Smokey and the Bandit attitude
• NASCAR-grade engineering
• Butler Performance muscle
• Pro-touring control
• And outlaw presence — all in one machine

This is not a car you casually take for coffee.
This is a car that arrives.
